Madonna
Maddona's full name is Madonna Louise Ciccone and she was born on August 16th, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, Detroit, USA. Her parents were Sylvio and Madonna. Her father was a car mechanic and her mother died when Madonna was five. Madonna spent a year at the University of Michigan to learn art form. Her previous jobs have been - dancer, model, drummer, writer and actress. With of course achieving her superstar status as a singer. AWARDS
She has received numerous top awards including:
1991 Grammy - Best Long Form Music Video, Blond Ambition World Tour: Live!
1997 Golden Globe: Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) for EVITA.
1999 Four Grammy wins for Ray Of Light including Best POP Album.
2000 Grammy for Best Original Song from a Motion Picture for Beautiful Stranger.
2001 Grammy Award for "Music" in the category of Best Recording Package. Madonna has used her music, videos and sexuality to generate publicity. She has kept full control of her music and image. She is an international icon and the most successful female singles chart act of all time in the UK and USA. A FEW FACTS
In 1979 Madonna helped form the pop/dance group called the Breakfast Club, she was the drummer.
Madonna's 1990 Blonde Ambition tour lasted almost the entire year and resulted in a documentary film called "Truth or Dare".
Madonna’s diverse range of books include - The English Roses, Bedtime Story and Sex.
